The Evergreen Association of American Baptist Churches USA is one of 34 regions comprising the American Baptist Churches USA. These regions serve as a support network for all individual churches affiliated with them. Of the 34 regions, Evergreen is unique in two distinct ways. Evergreen conducts business through a consensus process rather than a straight up-or-down vote process. And Evergreen breaks up into Black, Euro, Asian, and Hispanic caucuses to prevent the voice of any single church, group, or individual from dominating discussion or having undue power in decision making.
