Church Administrator

Queen Anne Baptist Church (QABC) is looking for a proactive, organized Church Administrator to keep our church running smoothly. This part-time role supports day-to-day operations, as well as worship, communications, and events, helping QABC thrive as an inclusive, justice-centered community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
1. Office Operations
Manage daily emails, phone calls, office supplies, and general administrative tasks.

2. Membership & Records
Update and maintain accurate church membership records, including baptisms, marriages, deaths, and contact info.

3. Worship & Communications Support
Prepare weekly orders of worship, monthly newsletters, and other materials to keep the congregation informed.
4. Financial Support
Handle deposits, assist with church finances, and input member and visitor donations into Subsplash.

5. Scheduling & Facilities Support
Manage the church calendar, building use, and room reservations. Coordinate inspections and maintenance with vendors.

6. Event Support
Serve as on-site staff for rental events and other church activities (additional compensation may be paid by client).
SCHEDULE & TIME COMMITMENT
This position blends regular in-person commitments with flexible remote work.
  • Average weekly commitment: 10-12 hours including:
    • Weekly 2-hour staff meetings (typically Tuesdays; flexible depending on team availability)
    • Monthly Leadership Council meetings (typically Wednesday evenings; timing adaptable)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This is a part-time, non-exempt employee position.
  • $22–$25 per hour, depending on experience. Rate is negotiable based on qualifications.
  • In compliance with Washington State law, the employee will accrue paid sick leave at a rate of at least 1 hour for every 40 hours worked
  • Additional paid time off (e.g., vacation or holidays) is not included
  • Unpaid time off may be arranged with prior approval

Ideal Candidate

Education & Experience
  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of office experience or equivalent
  • 1–2 years experience managing business financial records/accounts receivable

Administrative & Organizational Skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and data input skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to shifting responsibilities
  • Works well independently and collaboratively with self-motivated work habits
  • Maintains discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information and conflict

Interpersonal & Communication Skills
  • Builds positive relationships with church members, visitors, and community partners
  • Demonstrates active listening, openness to feedback, and compassion for those seeking pastoral or administrative support
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and cross-cultural awareness
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Canva, Dropbox, and similar programs
  • Ability to learn and use specialized church software, including Subsplash (for inputting member and visitor donations)
  • Comfort with online calendars, databases, and digital filing systems

Professional Expectations
  • Comply with QABC’s Child and Youth Abuse Prevention Policy and Harassment and Misconduct Policy
  • Proof of full COVID vaccination
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Appreciation for the church’s religious and historic significance
  • Church membership not required

Digital Ministry Coordinator

Queen Anne Baptist Church is seeking a proactive, creative, and tech-savvy Digital Ministry Coordinator to help amplify our inclusive, justice-centered mission. This part-time role supports worship, communications, and online engagement, ensuring that QABC’s digital presence is vibrant, accessible, and aligned with our values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
1. Digital Worship & Online Presence
Support worship and digital engagement! Operate tools like Subsplash and ProPresenter to enhance livestreamed services, online content, and virtual events.

2. Social Media Management
Grow QABC’s online presence! Manage our social media accounts. Post updates, engage with comments, and share content that connects with our congregation and broader community.
3. Design & Creative Materials
Bring our church’s events and ministries to life! Create flyers, graphics, and promotional materials for worship, community events, and outreach using tools like Canva and other design software.

4. Website & Online Platform Management
Keep our digital front door fresh and functional! Maintain the church website, update content regularly, and ensure online tools and platforms reflect QABC’s mission and activities.
SCHEDULE & TIME COMMITMENT

    • Sundays required: 4 hours (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
