Wild Church is a movement to reconnect with Creator and Creation. We are beginning a new Wild Church here in Seattle in our urban parks, near our waterways and along our many trails.
We will gather on the fourth Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. and have a time of welcome and opening, recognizing the land that we are on is the ancestral and current home of the Duwamish people. We will share some words of reflection, prayers or meditations, and then walk our trails, taking notice of how the Creator is at work around us, and our impact and relationship with creation. We will end our time together with song, and those that wish may bring a picnic lunch. In this time of Covid-19, masks are required and we practice social distancing. Our location may move about the city, but our goal is to choose trails that are accessible for strollers and wheelchairs, as well as near public transportation. We invite you to join us for our next Seattle Wild Church at 10 a.m. at West Ewing Mini Park on the Ship Canal, 244 W. Ewing. There is parking along the street or in the lot (closed M-F but open on the weekends to the public). We meet at the picnic tables. We will walk to the Fremont Bridge, cross over, and walk back. Please RSVP to Pastor Mindi and contact her for more information. Next Gathering: March 27th, 10 a.m. |
