Community Events at Queen Anne Baptist
As part of the mission of Queen Anne Baptist, we offer free to the public community events geared toward families. With respect to our diverse community, all of our events for this are secular in nature, with absolutely no pressure from us to know who we are as a church or what we practice. We do have information cards located at the back of each event for anyone who does have an interest in that topic, but they are not advertised. It is our goal to create a safe and relaxing environment for our community members to spend time with each other and their families.

About each of our Community Event Series
Started in 2014, roughly once a month QABC shows a family oriented popular film and hosts a crafting event to go along side it. Examples have been Ratatouille and we made personal pizzas to eat while watching the film. Another was watching Lilo and Stitch and making toys for family pets and also for donation to the Seattle Humane Society. All activities start at 5:30pm and the movie showing starts at 6:00PM, with the activity continuing through the showing. All materials are provided free of charge, though we do have a voluntary donation bin in the back of the room to help support the purchasing of supplies for these events.
A note on how we select our movies: All movies that we show have been watched by our events coordinator before being selected. We try to be conscious of messaging and how everything plays together with current events, however there is only so much that we can do. While the movies we choose are G rated and we find them appropriate to show, we ask that parents research the movies we advertise for themselves and decide whether watching it is best for their family. We are more than happy to listen to any concerns and answer any questions you might have. |
Started in 2015, QABC holds two to three concerts in our beautiful sanctuary each season. In 2015, we were partnered with Seattle Pacific University and had concerts ranging from jazz combos to string quartets. In 2016, we are aiming for an interactive concert series geared towards children. Each concert will feature a listening and an interactive portion, to help foster involvement in music.
